Lemon Paradise Saison

OG: 1.065

Recipe Type: Mini-Mash
Nice fresh summer style beer, clean and refreshing with a nice lemon and spice finish. Will still be about 7% abv so be careful with this one, it goes down very easy.
Ingredients
- 2 lbs Belgian Pils
- 8 oz white wheat
- 8 oz flaked wheat
- 8 oz aromatic malt
- 4 lbs Liquid Wheat
- 4 lbs Liquid Extra Pale
- 2 oz Hallertau (45 min)
- 1 oz Saaz (last 5 min)
- .5 oz Paradise Seed crushed
- fresh zest of 2 med lemons
- Wyeast Belgian Saison 3724
Procedure
- This requires a partial mash. Steep grains for 45 min at 150F then sparge out at 175F, bring back up to 180 and add extracts. Once at boil add the 2 oz Hallertau, after 30 min add the orange zest and paradise grain. Finish off with 1 oz Sazz after 40 min. This brew only requires a 45 min boil.
Ferment
- This yeast will handle a very high ferment temp (around 85F). The yeast benefits greatly from a high ferment temp so keep it nice and warm, brew it in the summer!
