Blogs
Beervana
Great Portland-based beer blog written by Jeff Alworth. One of my daily reads.
The Beer Here
Online outlet for John Foyston, The Oregonian's exceedingly competent beer guru.
The Belmont Station Beer Forum
Online blog of one of Portland's greatest bottle shops. Lots of new product announcements and reviews.
The Champagne of Blogs
One of my favorite local beer blogs. Funny, current, and well cared for.
Breweries
BridgePort Brewing Company
One of Portland's finest. Their ubiquitous (and delicious) IPA flows like Budweiser around here.
Deschutes Brewery
Near the top of my list of favorite breweries ever. Everything they produce is world-class.
Hair of the Dog Brewing
Undeniably one of Oregon finest and most unique craft brewers.
Rogue Brewery
Brewers of world-famous chocolate stout. A regional treasure.
Sierra Nevada Brewing
One of the originators. Makers of excellent, hoppy ales.
Clubs
Oregon Brew Crew
One of the nation's oldest homebrew clubs. They maintain an excellent mailing list, open to all.
Miscellaneous
Beer Advocate
The nexus of intelligent beer appreciation on the web? Quite possibly.
F. H. Steinbart Co.
Hands down the most complete homebrewing store in Beervana. Whatever you need, if they don't have it, they can get it.
Guest on Tap
Online magazine featuring some of Portland's brightest beer luminaries. Always worth reading.
Oregon Brewer's Guild
Trade organization representing Oregon's rich brewing industry. Home of the SNOBs!
Oregon Brewers Festival
Annual meeting of the best brewers in the state (and nation!). If you have the means to attend, do not miss it.
RateBeer
Great beer review site. Second in volume of information only to Beer Advocate.
Pubs
Max's Fanno Creek Brew Pub
Great Tigard area brew pub with fantastic, adventurous beers.
McMenamins Pubs
You know you're spoiled when a place like McMenamins is derided by the local scene. They may not make incredible beer, but it's consistently drinkable and they're everywhere.
The Horse Brass Pub
Portland's best beer bar? If not, it's definitely top three. When you go though, make sure you're wearing clothes you don't mind getting smelly. The smoke gets dense.
